Purpose

A Complete Blood Count with Manual Differential (CBC w/ m/Diff) is a detailed blood test that measures red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It also includes a manual review of white blood cell types under a microscope.
This test helps diagnose infections, anemia, immune disorders, and blood cancers.

Specimen Required

A blood sample is drawn from a vein in the arm using a sterile needle and collection tube.

Turnaround Time

Results are typically available within 1–2 business days.

Preparation Instructions

No special preparation is required. Patients should notify their healthcare provider about any medications or recent illnesses, as these may affect results.

Test Components

CBC with Manual Differential includes:
